Can you export from Microsoft Project to MPX? MindManager can import a MPX file.
Alternatively you might be able to find a utility that can convert a Microsoft Project file to MPX.

Unfortunately, I get in a project only original files in MPP format. I had expected when MindManager can import original Word files, the tool would understand project management files in Microsoft original format. Perhaps there is a plugin?

Ofcourse I can import standard MS Project with MindManager.

You have to be sure the addin is active... Go to file options and there MS Project should be active.

And ofcourse you have to be sure that MS Project allows this in the settings overthere.

Neat...

Well... I did'nt know that I had it, but found that I downloaded a free trial of MS Project about 6 years ago and that obviously did the trick.

Well I would never call this a bug until I tried to make the installation of MSProject correct

Maybe you can follow my suggestion Go to Microsoft site-> download a trial of MS Project and see what happens. Be sure you have MIndManager closed when doing this.

If I can do it, you surely can ;-)

If the installation of the free trial of MS Project (and presumably retaining the installation even after the trial period has ended) works consistently to allow import and export of MS Project files, it could be very useful for people who want to integrate the use of other project management programs with MindManager. I assume that most of these third-party programs can import and export in Project format.
