Upgraded to the latest version, Mindjet 11 for windows, and still no Office 64bit compatibility. Why not, and what is the roadmap, assuming one exist?

Kevin,
Mindjet is made up of many different software components along with our proprietary code. In order to support a 64 bit OS, we'd need to upgrade all the components and in some cases build them entirely from scratch if they don't support 64 bit OS. It is a major undertaking and will require our team to support multiple code bases moving forward (slowing down the development and testing processes significantly). That being said, as the market continues to move towards 64 bit, it will become a necessity to transition. As it stands, only a small minority of our customers have reported this as an issue and only a tiny fraction of our larger corporate customers (e.g. 1,000+ licenses all the way to 100,000+ licenses) are using 64 bit systems or 64 bit versions of Office as their standard.

Hi Michael

I think your last sentence may need an edit.

Hi Michael,

The time has come. Windows is vital to delivering Mindjet's full value. Those using 32 bit are holding other high end users back. In my world this issue is key. Ideas need to be implemented. A rise in price? I'm in. I know it would have a great ROI for our company.
