The Bureau of Land Management has purchased MINDJET FOR BUSINESS. From your product descriptions on your webpage, we had formed specific expectations of the product's functions.

First, that our copy of MINDJET FOR BUSINESS would include "Mindjet Files" allowing our user to share the web based versions of maps with other project members.

Second, that other project members who received a copy of a Mindjet map from our one authorized user via "Mindjet Files" would not be required to purchase Mindjet products for their participation in the user's project.

Thus far, our experience has been that persons receiving the Mindjet Files are required to install software for a 30 day trial. That implies that following the 30 days, these people will be required to buy the product.

Please clarify whether or not persons receiving the web based "Mindjet Files" must sign up for a trial, and eventually purchase Mindjet. If the recipients of "Mindjet Files" are not required to purchase the product, please detail how they may open the "vision.Mindjet" maps and not have to sign up.

Hi Brittney,

please don't push any critical topic in to private conversations. I think, the answers would be interesting to all of us!
Only this way, a support forum makes sense.

Best Regards

Do agree with you. Seems that mindjet does not want real customer discussions here.

We allow customers to discuss constantly without disruption from Mindjet. If a customer does not understand what they have purchased, then they should speak with the Sales Rep as their may have been a miscommunication.

In this particular issue, people can be added to the account as guests to view maps if you have a Mindjet Business Account. They also receive their own trial accounts which is the 30 day trial that becomes read-only.

In addidition to your answer, A suggestion could be, that everything is fully clear beforehand what a customer does purchase. That is an issue for your website designer and marketing people. (and ofcourse in the instructions to your resellers as well ;-)

The trial becomes a view and print only application when it expires. It will continue to prompt you to buy.
