one subtopic of multiple parent topics

We have a process mapping challenge whereby a "subtopic" is a child of multiple parent topics.  We do not want to duplicate the subtopic but we need the subtopic connected to each of its parent topics so that when we drill from parent to subtopic we see the relevant subtopics for each parent.  Is there a way to do this?

Trees are very limited for actual process mapping because each topic can have only one parent. and there are no directional links. You could draw relationships from multiple parents to new topics but this is a workaround. Or you could bypass the tree hierarchy and use floating topics to draw a network - see Network Builder for MindManager. (Disclosure - I am the author). A powerful way to use MindManager for networks is to draw a network with floating topics to visualise it at a high level, and cross-link to a tree containing all the detail about each node.

At the end of the thread that Ary refers to I posted some possible solutions, which I later developed into a more detailed article available here:

I hope someday Mindjet surpirse and provides a simpler way to perform this task however these other solutions are good workarounds. Thanks for sharing.
