  • Under Consideration
There have been several posts over the last few years about integration of MindManager with OneNote.

This evening while "surfing" I came across this add-in which I had not heard of or seen before.

I don't know whether this will provide an answer to any of those who posted OneNote related questions about integration but thought I would share on this forum in case anyone searches for this in the future.

Note: I and Olympic are not involved in this add-in in any way. Please download and review to make up your own mind whether it solves an issue for you. I have not tried it yet but seems to be available for MindManager 8 onwards.

Just thought I'd share :-)

Nigel, it is indeed welcome. I submitted a question during the MM 15 webinar the other day and Michael Deutch asked me to post in community/ideas my request.

In the 2007 MM, there was a Send To OneNote feature and it has been sorely missed ever since.

Will give this Pons thing a whirl. Thanks!

Good day Nigel. Have you found a better solution for integrating MindManager with a note taking app such as Evernote or OneNote yet?

Hi Ben, Our UX Team has been doing customer research to understand how people use OneNote and what they would expect from an integration. It is a planned integration but I can't give you a release date at this time. If you have time to describe how you would use an integration between OneNote and MindManager feel free to post here or contact us at

Easy! 1) Often I want to have multimedia notes and much more complex notes than MM handles with the little text box for notes. Let me use a tool like OneNote that provides a much richer environment. 2) Sometimes a map need comes out of an existing Onenote. I'd like to be able to start a map from a note and have the map embedded in the OneNote document.

I Found this link this morning when I was looking for a way to create a notebook out of map content.  Zapier lets me create a page from a topic but it does not include a link to go back to the map. I find that the map is great for organizing info but I find Onenote is better for storing certain types of content.

The Pons OneNote add-in for MindManager that Nigel mentioned in the original post is still available and apparently has been updated for MM2020. A licence costs US$19; I tried it previously with MM2018 or MM2019 and it seemed to work Ok, but I'm not a OneNote user.

To incorporate OneNote when working in MindManager, I have been simply creating a link to an existing OneNote page and pasting that link in a MM map where I need it. I store my maps in OneDrive, so I can also include a link in the OneNote page back to the map. Works for me.
