Well, I was trying to set this up (outlook<->MM connection) and I think I borked it. I was unaware that Outlook was broken when I tried to send a task there, and once I realized that my Outlook.pst file was corrupt, I was in the middle of a mess. I got outlook working again, however, now I get this, which I am sure is related to my initial problem:

Go to Control Panel > Program & Features

Repair Outlook (MS Office Professional ....) and MindManager

If its not working after this:

Check the Add In is enabled in:

MindManager - File > Options >Add Ins

Outlook - File > Options > Add Ins

Thx for that Andrew... did the repairs and I see this in MM: C:\Program Files (x86)\Mindjet\MindManager 14\Mm14OutlookLinker.dll but nothing related to MM in the Outlook Add In pane. Hmmm... i thought I read somewhere that MM add-ins don't work in 64-bit systems? Could this be the case... I am running 8.1 pro 64 bit. Thx again!

Yes, this is most definitely a 64-bit issue. The Outlook Linker will not work on 64-bit Outlook installations.

yes, thx. I downgraded to Office 32-bit and all my add-in problems went away.
