"Adding keywords is currently much too simplistic, hence uncomfortable and inefficient. We need at least three new features:

1. The ability to add keywords to many selected pictures in one go.
2. A visible keyword structure grouped in customizable categories or at least as hierarchical keyword tree.
3. As soon as we select pictures their keywords would be highlighted within the keyword tree."

"A further smart keyword management aspect would be the compatibility with the IPTC (International Press Telecommunications Council) standard. Hence used keywords wouldn't be only parts of Mind Manager, but saved as properties of the picture files. There are many clear advantages:

1. Keywords would be accessible from everywhere, independent of MM. So we could use the same keywords in MM and other software.
2. Keywords we create with other software like media and general digital asset management software would also can be used by MM. Such software offers huge possibilities of keyword creation and management, so we would be able to do much many things, which would later improve our MM work.
3. Even if we uninstall MM or do other things like that, the keywords would remain there, because they are parts of the pictures and not of MM.
4. If we send/get pictures to/from an other user, the keywords would still accompany the images, being a part of them. Hence no need for you or your partner to recreate them." [from mentalwaves]

"In fact icons are also images, so I suggest to offer the same suggested features for both, icons and pictures. Icons need classification and the possibility to be searched as well." [from mentalwaves]
