Poor Alignment of Callout Topics

Hello,

I'm using Mindmanager for more of a brainstorming application. I'm using Floating topics throughout the map and have Callout Topics stemming off of the Floating Topics. When I create multiple Callout Topics off of one floating topic, the Callout Topics only want to stay to the left of my floating topic. They are manageable in 180 degrees of the floating topic, but will not stay when I try to drag them over to the right side. Do you know what is going on and how I can fix this?

An Org Chart Format allows me to do 180 degrees along the bottom of the Floating Topic, but then I can't do the top 180 degrees. Also, so types of format seem to let me do the whole 180 degrees to the left of a topic. Thanks for your thoughts.

As you have found, the choice of layout applied to floating topics affects the position of callouts in seemingly illogical ways. One workaround if you can't put the callout where you want it to go is to use another floating topic instead, connected to the "parent" floating topic with a straight relationship line and formatted to look like a callout. You can put these floating topic "callouts" pretty much where you like relative to the parent floating topic, as long as they are not close enough to be "captured" by it.

Hi Alex,

Thanks, that's nice to know I understand some of how MindManager works. I've been using lots of floating topics and then pinning them to hold them where I want them.
