Position PowerFilter addition

I'd like to suggest the inclusion of a "position" filter choice to the PowerFilter interface. This way the map can not only be filtered by all of the choices we currently have, but also by which parent topic they have so that we can essentially filter by location in the hierarchy, as well as properties.

Do you mean a filter to show, say, all level three topics in a map, or something else?

Actually, I hadn't thought of that, but like the idea. I was actually thinking of being able to pick a parent topic, or topics, from which the search will scan the child topics only.

In my situation, I have two level two two topics that comprise more than 98% of my map, and each of them shares about half of the content. I needed to be able to search down just one of the branches to find the content I was looking for, because I knew that I would get a similar selection on both branches but knew that the one on the first branch was the only applicable search result.

I don't have MM in front of me at the moment to check, but what happens if you select the parent topic, click on Show Branch Alone and then apply the filter - or vice versa, select the parent topic, filter, then select Show Branch Alone?

Wow, Alex, you're just a treasure-trove of knowledge :) That didn't do anything unexpected but I didn't even know what the Branch menu selection was for, but that will come in handy in the future... Thanks!
