Preserving Ideas

I recently had an experience where an entire morning's work making notes was lost.

The preservation of ideas is top priority. Saving work should be easy and obvious.

Saving work by exiting the mindmap causes disruption to my thought process while working independently and breaks flow during collaborative efforts made using mindjet.

I would like to suggest the option to have a save button either placed in the menu or (preferably) as a floating icon within the workspace.

I wholeheartedly agree. I understand what a Save button and Save As button does and feel comfortable knowing 'I' have saved my work, rather than relying on the counter-intuitive 'save on exit' method to do it.

Especially upsetting because I keep finding Mindjet has NOT saved my work!

Combined with the fact that Mindjet for Android no long saves Notes (you can write them OK, but it then strips them on exit), the user experience is uncomfortable.
