Roll up task info does not show correct progress roll up info. In the attached picture, you can see that 2 milestone task with due date already past, but 100% progress, the parent task does not show 100% progress.

Appears that it does not like Zero duration tasks, switch one of the Tasks to 1 day duration and it corrects

Tx. The tasks are milestones, so zero duration. But I will include 1 day duration

There are more bugs within the task roll up unfortunately, since it was initially introduced. If precision is needed, I only trust in MS Project.

Shilpa,

tx. Nothing has happened so far. It was very easy for me today to produce a simple error in 2017: G2 should start on Mon, 17th Oct. Such errors still exist since date calculation was introduced several versions ago! Would you like to know more? ;-)
Regards,
Detlef

An interesting find.  This not good given those who upgraded to 17 with existing maps build in 16 could have new date errors.

Hi Michael,

there is a difference between duration and effort.

In your example you have set the tasks "parallel".

That means that all tasks have to be completed in 6 h (the duration of the longest task).

If you look at the effort you will see, that it will take 1d and 4h (in sum 12 hours, with 8h per day) to complete all tasks of the rollup task.

If you want to work at the tasks in sequence you have to set FS-dependencies between the tasks.

Then the duration of the rollup will be 1d and 4h too.

I hope this will help you.

Hi,

I see that there are more problems with the task planning.

For some initial planning I use backward planning from a given milestone.

Because MindManager don't have date contraints like MS Project (MM use only ASAP) I worked with the SF-dependency.

This worked well under Version 2016 (although the date display didn't always shown the correct dates the calculation was good enough to get the latest start date for the project).

In MM 2017 the SF-dependency do not work correctly (see picture).

I sent a mail to the mindjet Support and they opened a ticket but after sending screenshots I didn't get an answer.
