I created a mind map with MindManager 9 for Windows. The map contains hyperlinks. Everything work fine on the PC. I uploaded the .mmap file to Dropbox and opened the file with Mindjet for iPad. If the hyperlink is for something like www.google.com, the link shows up in the Notes tab and links fine. However, if the link is to a file (like .pdf) or ends in .aspx, then the Notes tab displays the following in the links area, "File link (NA)"
Is this a known problem or is the a fix?

Thank you for your post. As you mentioned, hyperlinks like www.google.com are supported by the application, however, .pdf and .aspx files are not supported by the iPad application. I hope that this helps to answer your question.

I have the same problem with links to Google Docs documents. They are not .pdf or .aspx, but still not working. Is the reason they are https://? Why block this when safari can open it?
Mindmanager for windows rocks, but all my attempsts to integrate it in a location independent workflow using Mindjet Connect or opening my files from dropbox on the Ipad have failed. Either the map is locked (why????) or I run into problems with my google docs links.

It could also be that there is an arguement in the URL i.e. things after a ? that Mindjet for iPad does not work with.

@Andrew: thanks for your input, but there is no ? in the Google Docs links...
My question remains, why block anything like this if Safari can open it? To me that is the difference between adding an attachment (that Mindjet should be able to open) and adding a link (any content that I want to access through my browser).

@Michael: I feel your frustration. For someone like me (and maybe you) who has been using MindManager since the dark ages (b2000) having the latest and greatest things perform less well than things used to in the 1900s seems rather pointless!

@Brittney Mazzetta: I would be very grateful to get a response from an Official Rep... (or do I need to start a new topic for that?)
Thank you in advance.

No need to start a new topic. I have passed this on to our developers to take a look at. I will be in touch with additional information. Thank you for your patience.

Our team has diagnosed the issue and has come up with a solution which will be rolled up in the 2.7 release. Thank you!

That's good news! Thanks for looking in to this. I hope it is something like a "open in" solution that will solve all problems with hyperlinks in mindmaps because many people use other browsers that safari or use dedicated apps for Google Docs.
Is there any info on when the 2.7. update is to be expected?
Thanks again.

Not a problem at all. Our team is working on the 2.7 release now, but there have been no confirmed dates at this point. I will keep you posted as I hear more information.

Update. I did some further testing.
Actually, Mindjet for iPad does support hyperlinks to PDF files and links to https:// and links to .aspx files **IF** the links are added within Mindjet for iPad. However, if the links are added in MindManager 2012 desktop then the links show as "File link (NA)" when the map is opened in Mindjet for iPad.
Maybe that's an easier problem to fix. Would you please check into that?
