Progress icon does not sum correct?

When mixing Roll up task info branch with a "normal" progress icon (that is not marked for roll up) at the same level, they do not sum up correctly at the level above (difficult to explain in writing).

Or: how does Roll up task info calculate. Does it only calculates rolled up task branches?

Conclusion: Roll up is difficult to use. Manual setting is better/controlable.

The test I did seems correct here. The rolled up percent complete is the total number of hours worked divided by the total number of hours duration, as a percentage. It does not simply add up the percent complete figures. The calculation is based on non-rollup branches only, as rollup branches are not real tasks. It is also rounded down to the nearest of the fixed values (0%, 10%, 25% etc.)

A reply after a long time :-)
Ok, thanks for clarifation!

Three scenarios:
- all bransches have duration. Outcome as you say above. Ok.
- all bransches only have percent complete figures, no dates, no duration. Ok.
- some bransches have duration, some bransche only percent complete. In that case the rolled up percent complete looks strange

Any have expericed this?

Could you post a screen shot of an example? It seems that "no progress icon" does not mean 0% progress, even though the duration is included in the total. A workaround would be to ensure that there is always a progress icon on any topic with a duration.

Three different scenarios with different result:

I can understand that it will be different result, but the handling of the progress icon makes it difficult to use, in my opinion.

And this one:

It ́s easy to forget to put a progress on XX-Action 2.
