Project optimization - critical path

When you have dependent task (finish-to-start), the startdate of the dependent task is updated when you set the date of the previous task later in time.
But when you set the date of the previous task earlier in time, the date of the dependent task does not change.

I would like an option to start all dependent tasks immediately after the previous tasks, without any delay. So you can optimize the projectduration.

It's actually a pity that till today, there haven't been any response to your idea, Esther. This feature would be very welcomed by myself too and should be actually by logic already be integrated. However, obviously there is some reason on Mindjet side, not to consider anything like that????

Not sure if this has been answered, but in the 2019 version, under the "Task" tab you can click "Remove Slack Time" and it will automatically adjust all start times to begin at their earliest feasible point. I believe this is what you are looking for!

Yes Tim. You are correct. It shows Mindmanager developers listen to this community.

I have the same problem as Esther.

The button "Remove slack time" removes the slack time of every task, even the tasks without a relatisonship and with a planned start in the future.
The planned (and independent) tasks are automatically set to the beginning of the time schedule.

I would need an option, where only the tasks with a relationship start automatically after the previous task.

PS: It would also be great, if you could add a delay into the relationship of two tasks.

Thank you for your help.

If you in Gannt mark one or (by holding down Ctrl mark) multiple tasks the Remove Slack button gives you the option to remove Slack for selected and depending Tasks.
