The "quick input" feature (FR "saisie rapide") would be much more useful, if we could attach text to the items, as well as we do on a map. Don't you think?

Not sure about this functionality, I normally use Floating Topics for this kind of unstructured lists. What could be the benefit in using the Quick Entry Window?

Thanks Mathieu for your comment.
Creating a floating topic supposes that you already chose the map related to this topic. The use of the "quick entry windows" is when you get an idea but don't know yet where you want to put it among many maps.
This usage leads us to another functionality: it's no more mind mapping, or the stage before, the moment where you have something to collect or to store, but you don't go through the decision-making process in order to assign the topic to a structure (a sort of "thought handling" or aide-mémoire).
Every item created by these means can then be dragged and dropped into an existing map very easily, and become a usual topic. That's why it would be fine to attach a note to it.
Could be great to transform it into an event or a task too. Given these features, Mind Manager would become the prevailing tool to use prior to almost any other, in any context.

I understand your need.
One solution with the current functionality is to keep a "Loose Idea's" map open at all times and add your idea's in it.

Anonther option could be to use an add-in like GyroQ. This works with the MindManager Windows version, but there maybe other solutions.

I like the process connected to this tool as well.

Thank you for your suggestions.
The "quick input" capacity is a good idea and more easy to use than the "loose ideas" map (easy drag&drop on several maps, instead of copy/paste from a map to another). My maxim is: every time you have to copy/paste, that reveals a design mistake!
The only limitation of the "quick input" is the lack of note attached.

I am exploring GyroQ. At first glance, it seems it doesn't provide the note attachment... and exists only for Windows.

Thanks a lot.
