Quick search does not use the Look In settings

I have tried to search a map for text I know exists in the Notes (in this case Outlook email topics). If I just enter the text in the find box top right it does not find the text. If I open the Find dialog the Notes box is ticked and if I click FInd Next, it finds the text in a note.

Why does the quick find tool not obey the Find dialog settings?

Yes, it would be nice if those two searches are aligned

You are right Andrew about all you said.  Apparently the Quick Search is not subject to the rules of the 'Find and Replace' advanced search. Per our Product Manager, this is as designed. My thought is that if someone wants to find a topic quickly, they can use the quick search without the time delay of having MM search through all the notes as well.  Just my thoughts.

But there is another issue.  What I find odd is that after having checked the 'Look In' '
Notes' box, if you try to use 'Find All', MindManager will not find anything in Notes.  However, same situation, if you use 'Find Next', MindManager will find it.

So I am talking to the Product folks about this seeming inconsistency.
