Red dotted line in Gantt-chart

I have been trying to resolve these red dotted lines as shown in the picture. They appear when I create a dependecy between 2.3.4 and 2.4.2.
These lines appeared before and somehow I removed them, but this time I am at a loss. What am I missing here?

Edit: a word

The red dependencies show the critical path. Any task connected by red dependencies will cause the project to be late, if it is late itself.

You can turn off the display of the critical path in the Gantt chart options.

Those lines are a visual aid to show the critical dependencies. In the Map view they also appear when creating dependencies.
They are necessary to be able to trace the steps in a project, and are of great value when you have a complex project.
Especially when - as in your example - you have more than one task following.
So let them stay. They are there to help you explain the status of your project to your management and endusers.
And it makes the life of any projectmanager a lot easier ;-)

Sjees, I love the swiftness of these replies. Thank you!

I was thinking about critical path, but I was also on the thinking path that there was something wrong with any one of my tasks.

That being said, I am going further with creating the dependencies.
