Remove white space in organisation chart

Hello everybody

Im having some trouble with an organisation chart I created with MindManager.

I exported it to a PDF/Flash file and when i look at it, it has a lot of unused white space. This unused white space also appears in the MindManager file and i cant find a way to remove it.

Is there a possibility to crop the map or remove those white spaces? Slides are unfortunaetly no option because the organisation chart should be available for my co-workers.

Thanks!

Org charts tend to take up a lot of white space in MindManager, especially if there are many branches and/or particularly long branches.

You can adjust parameters such as distance from parent topics and between sibling topics in the Subtopics layout under Format Topic (in the dropdown Topic Shape menu) as well as Main topic spacing (only when you click on the Main topic) but these generally have only a minor impact on topic spacing.

If exporting a PDF is a viable option and you find that you can control the white space in slides, you could always export the slide as a PDF. Alternatively you can always take a screenshot of the map and trim the resulting JPG file.

The best option however would be to upgrade to the latest version of MindManager 2017. This would allow you to export the map as an HTML 5 file which you could place on your organisation's website, making it accessible to everyone. This wouldn't reduce the white space if you export the map fully expanded, but you can export it completely or partly collapsed as the HTML 5 file is interactive and allows viewers to expand or contract individual map branches.
