Saving File as Regular PDF file

I just purchased mindjet and I need to save my files to PDF, but the only option that comes up is PDF is Mindjet Viewer PDF.  I need to be able to send my file to colleagues that don't have mindjet.  Am I missing something?  In the trial version, I was able to save to PDF.  Any help is appreciated.

In our current release, we only have the ability to save the interactive PDF. Or, if you have a PDF driver (e.g. Adobe or the free cutePDF, you can save a map as a PDF file).

You can also save the map as an image which is equally shareable (e.g. via email, inserted into documents like word or powerpoint).

We're looking at bringing back the PDF export in a future update.

Thanks,
Michael

It is very disappointing to me that I purchased the product based on my experience with the free trial and then when I purchase it I cannot have the same functionality.  Please advise your management that this is deceptive practice.  Although I like the product, I feel I should have all of the features that I had on the trial.  I would apprecaite a response from your management.  As far as I am concerned the product would be perfect with the PDF export functionality.

Hi Rod,

We absolutely did not try to deceive you or any of our customers. So, I apologize. I am the person responsible for the product and I'm happy to speak with you on the phone if you'd like. The free trial has 100% of the same functionality as the paid version. If that's not the case, then something is wrong and it should be addressed. Neither the trial nor the paid version should have a PDF export available. When did you download the trial? And, when did you purchase? Did you trial the software on the same computer as the machine that you purchased it on?

Thanks, and again, my apologies for the confusion.

...but you did, I just spend a couple of hours creating a mindmap to discuss with a client and now I cannot convert it to a PDF. Some freeware can do it. I am sure I could have done it with my previous version

The solution for this is described just a few days ago in a previous post.
"For pdf most of us use a free pdf printer like Cutepdf. Mindjet decided that with the power of html5 nobody needs pdf. Except your client and most of us ;-)"

You could also use export to HTML5, But you have to send the file to your client.  and  most of them love it.

And since MM2018 there is another option called Publish. Sia decribed that one for you:

"Often, people have security applications or settings that block them or show errors when attempting to view local HTML files with javascript.

The easiest way to share a MindManager file in version 2018 is to use the Publish feature. Here is an example that also provides more information on publishing: https://share.mindmanager.com/#publish/BVspUWF5lZQr7ucneZEJ0UfCWzoumqXp1RwZs4je
Because published files are hosted on the web there should be no errors for your client. Also as of the latest patch released today, you can customize the branding for your published files (EG add your own logo and hyperlink). You can see an example of that here: https://share.mindmanager.com/#publish/v_-9BsTHGtUXYGLGOivief7-I_ttyS1JC7S0zcNz

Rod,

Mindjet removed export to PDF in the 14.1.x release of MindManager 14 earlier this year. Prior versions did have this capability so it might be that your trial was an earlier MindManager 14 build.

There is an alternative which is a free add-in available from necsus IT Consulting: http://necsus.com/mindmanager-add-ins/export2pdf/

This should once again give you export to pdf functionality.

I hope this helps.

I can share my screen to show both the trial and the purchased.  The only saving grace right now is that I can pull the file extension in the trial version and then save to a PDF.
