Can you explain the process that you take to create your maps on the Windows version of MindManager, how you are saving the map and then accessing it on MindManager for Mac. That would be most helpful. If you could provide screen shots as well, that would be great. Thanks!

I use mac and my friend use windows. He creates mmap with customize shapes using mind manager 2012 for windows. When I open the mmap file in mind manager for mac 9, I get an empty and very long padding for the shapes:

I can accept mac version does not support shapes so far. But the empty padding are too big to view.

Thank you for sending over these screen shots. I have spoken with our support team and they have indicated that customized MindManager for Windows maps will be interpreted differently on the Mac version as you have already realized. Both the Windows and Mac version use the same code, but since the two operating systems are built differently, the customized maps will open much like the one you have included above. My recommendation is to see if the Windows user can try using more standard maps as this will eliminate the additional padding when you go to open the map on your Mac.

This is supposed to be something easy to fix. Since mind manager for mac does not support "Shapes" now, it can replace the shapes with standard topic shape to fix this problem.

one more question, will mind manager for mac support "Shapes" in the future?

Hi Zhao. I am sending this over to our product team as they are constantly looking for ways to improve our platforms. I am unsure of where this is on the roadmap, but I will notify them of your request. Thanks!
