Sharing a template with guests

can one person create a map, share it with a guest, and then that guest make a copy of his/her own so that it is separate from the original. In a classroom setting, I (the instructor) want to distribute a template map, but then I want each student to have his or her own...not linked to the other students. Once they make their own, they can invite me back so I am a guest to each of them...does this make sense? Is there an easier way to do this?

Thanks. I'm new at this.

Hello Cinda

As far as I can see, one way to do this is:
1. From the files display in Mindjet Vision, right-click on your master map and click "Duplicate"
2. Right-click on the duplicated copy, and rename it for an individual student
3. Right-click on the renamed map and share it with that student. After you have added them to the share list, change the sharing permissions from "read-only" to "write" so that they can edit it. Other students will not see each other's work.
4. Repeat for each student - this might be the ugly part, if you have dozens. I can't see a way to define your own templates in Connect, or a way for shared readonly maps to be saved as something else.
