Maybe you could create a custom query for this? Looks like the filtering on Follow Ups is hidden
under the More >> button int the Outlook Query screen?

indeed - try it self :) If you want to show only the follow ups (mail with follow up flag) for today and set the folder to "tasks" you wouldn ́t get the follow ups in your mindmap ...

I think I understsand now. You're talking about follow-ups to emails, not tasks as such.

I don't know much about these as I don't use follow-up flags and I haven't had much time to look at them, but it appears that the flagged emails show up as tasks in Outlook but are not recignised as such by MM.

However it also seems that you can search the email folder for flagged items - but as you point out you can't filter by specific flags such as due today, due tomorrow etc. This limitation applies to the tasks Folder as well but there at least you can filter directly for tasks due today etc.

I'll have a closer look at this in the next day or two.

I've played with this some more.

If you choose the Inbox folder and select Flagged for Follow up, you can then specify date options under Date.

Unfortunately this seems a little erratic in operation. Emails flagged as Today seem to show correctly if Today is selected in the query; however ones flagged as Tomorrow don't seem to show up if Tomorrow is selected, though they will appear if This Week is selected.

On the other hand, if the Custom option is chosen you can select relative dates, ie, either the next or last x number of days or a fixed date range. The relative dates also gave me some strange results - bizarrely, if I selected the next 1 days, the query gave me an email dated to be followed up today and one that was dated the day after tomorrow - but not one that was dated tomorrow!

Selecting the next 3 days did however give me all three. Only the fixed range when set to tomorrow's date (see example below) gave me the precise answer. I'm not sure why this is happening or if this is a weird anomaly, but perhaps someone who uses this feature more often can advise.

In the meantime, in summary based on my experience, it is possible to select emails that are flagged to be followed up using the date field, but this feature seems to work reliably only if you select a range - either one of the present options like This Week, or a custom range of a few days - or if you use a fixed range.
