Slow Performance of v9.5 on Mac OS X

I'm running v9.5 of mindmanager on a mac with OS X 10.7.4. I upgraded earlier this week from v9. The application is now unusably slow. Every action (and I do mean EVERY action) results in a spinning beach ball. When typing text I'll wait 5 seconds before the text appears. If this isn't resolved, I'll have to delete the software from my system and use ConceptDraw Mind manager software instead (which I really don't want to do). This has been a good product, but since the upgrade to 9.5, it's been a problem.

Thanks, Brittney. I've already opened a ticket with them - wanted to see if anyone else was having the issue and if there were any quick fixes (deleting preferences, etc.). I'll wait for support to contact me.

Brittney, just an FYI that I've yet to hear from anyone in customer support about this issue.

Hi Michael. It looks like one of our technical support representatives, Chris, sent you an email on July 19th. There is a possibility that the response may have gone to your junk folder. I will resend you the email correspondence so that you have the response from technical support. I apologize for the inconvenience. I will be emailing you shortly. Thank you.

An update in case anyone is following this thread. Customer support did attempt to reach me the day I filed the original case, but the email did not make it to me. A rep from care re-contacted me today (forwarding the original message) with instructions to rectify the performance issue. This has largely worked. There is still some latency when creating sub-tasks. The Mindjet R&D group is aware of this issue and the release in a few weeks of v9.6 for Mac, which introduces Mountain Lion support, will also address performance issues. Thanks for Mindjet for helping address my issue.

Hi There. I have been using MM8 for Mac for several on a MacBookPro 2010 (2.53 GHz i5, 4G RAM/100GB HD) with Snow Leopard. I upgraded to Mountain Lion (10.8.1) and found that I need to buy MM 9 to ensure compatibility. So today (Sep 15th 2012), I bought and installed MM9 (v9.6.510) and . . . it is totally unusable. Activity Monitor shows the MM app as taking 70% to 100% of CPU time all the time for any normal action.

I have sent an email to customer support and if there is a solution I will report it here. If anyone else has a solution I would be incredibly grateful as my whole work routine is based on MM MindMaps!

Very Best Regards,

KW
