  • Under Consideration
I hope there are plans for adding features/options to Snap to MindManager.   I'd like to see keyboard shortcuts and porting over to FireFox.

Hi Mark,

Thank you for your suggestions. In addition to the Keyboard shortcuts, do you have other enhancement requests?

Thanks,
-Marian

Also can you elaborate on keyboard shortcuts?

For which MindManager Snap app did you want shortcuts?
For which functions would you liked to see shortcuts?

Hi Marian & Sia;
I would like to see keyboard shortcuts similar to what Diigo offers.

If I want to highlight and snap to Mindmanager text from an article, I could, press Ctr+Win+M or for the bookmark Ctr+Win+B (something along those lines).  Each function in the MMSnap would have a corresponding keyboard shortcut.

Also, it'd be nice if the Successful Snap dialog box auto-closed or provided its notification in the toolbar (a green check that briefly displays by the icon).

It  would be great if it also had some of the functionality of the GyroQ add-in for MindManager, for example the ability to add tags.

Also, there doesn't seem to be any way to "snap" an image into the topic notes - you should have the option to place an image either in the topic or in the topic notes.

Ideally it would also function as an add-in within other programs like IE in the same way that the Send to MindManager add-in currently does. The two could even be combined so that you could send whatever you wanted to send to either MindManager itself or to the Snap queue.

There are also some issues with the Snap function of the iOS MindManager Go app. It doesn't seem possible to include any form of topic notes in the iOS version. This also makes it difficult to "Snap" the URL for a particular web page. Ideally it would be possible to copy a URL and be given to the option to include it in either the topic or the topic notes, similar to my suggestion about images.

Thanks Blair. I have another suggestion. The items in the Snap Queue should be able to be added to a map using both the options available with topics in the Map Parts tab.

At the moment the only way you can add a Snap Queue item to a map is to drag it there, either to become a subtopic or a floating topic. This is one way you can add Map Parts, but with the latter you also have the option of simply clicking on a Map Part to automatically add it to a selected topic.

... and while I'm on a roll, similar to my earlier suggestion about a Send to button for desktop browsers, it would be great if the Snap tool appeared as a share option on mobile devices. Depending on the app in which the share button is clicked and the type of item that is open, the user would have the option to save the open file (or web page, image, etc) as an attachment or link, or have it incorporated in the topic notes.

If this isn't possible (or even if it is), it would also be useful to have the ability to send files and other items as attachments to emails to a Snap queue, with the email topic forming the Snap topic name and the message  the topic notes. This approach could also work with desktops.
