some outlook tasks become locked and I cannot edit - they have padlock symbol

I have been building up a dashboard with manually inserted outlook tasks.  2 out of 7 sync tasks now have a small padlock next to priority and % complete.  I can sync outlook changes back into MM version but cannot edit task notes, % complete etc in MM.

How did these tasks get locked and how do I unlock - I can't find info anywhere.

This is on standalone PC with Outlook 2016.  Other (unlocked) tasks can be edited and sync both ways (with no MM task padlock)

Help would be appreciated as I want to eventually have 100+ tasks

One possibility is that Task Rollup is enabled on topics higher up in the tree. Enabling the rollup of Task Info on a topic (in the Task Info pane) will padlock task properties for everything below it except the leaf nodes at the edges of the map. Any tasks that had tasks as subtopics will lose their task info, which will be overwritten by locked summary info. If you have rollup enabled, you will see a clock icon with a green arrow and a red tick on the rolled-up topic. Select the topic and un-check the rollup checkbox in the Task Info task pane, or click the Rollup button in the Task tab in the ribbon.
