Spelling Checker Failure!

I installed the 15.1 version of MM, and when I launch the program I get the message "Spelling Checker Failure!", along with some extra text - shown in attached screenshot. I have run a Repair and subsequent reboot but it doesn't seem to fix the issue.

It puts red lines under every piece of text in my notes, etc. and seems to be slowing everything down because it has to mark all text it comes across.

How can I resolve this?

Hi Mike,

This issue has affected a handful of users that have updated to version 15.1.

Please try the following:

1. Open the Windows Registry editor.
2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mindjet\MindManager\15\Spelling Checker
3. Delete entry 'DictionaryFolder'.
4. Start MindManager.

If the error message is still displayed, please proceed to uninstall and then re-install MindManager 15.1 through the Windows Control Panel.

I have the same issue with the personal spelling checker. Does this trick also work with  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mindjet\MindManager\10\Spelling Checker\CorrectDictionaryFolder ?

thanks

Have you tried? What was the result?

Take care that the number /10/ should be the same as your MindManager for Windows version number. So If you have MM vs 2017 it should read /17/
