Sync Outlook tasks AND flagged mails in the same query

In Outlook to-do list I can nicely see both my tasks and mails that have been flagged for follow up in one place. The flagged mails are for all purposes treated as tasks in this context. However, only one folder can be selected at a time in a MM Outlook sync query. I flag mails both in my Inbox an in my Sent Items, so would need to include as a minimum 3 folders in my query. Can that be done?

You can either move them all under one folder and check the option 'include subfolders' or use multiple queries in the map.

Thanks Michael. Moving them under one folder would destroy the way that I (and I guess most people) use Outlook. Multiple queries is what I'm presently doing, but it's not really a solution, right? It's a workaround and not a neat one at that. There are other issues, too. To mention only one - I want to follow up on the tasks assigned to my team, but the "Assigned to" field does not allow OR statements. So it has to be one query per team member. An awful lot of queries if you ask me.

The query tool should really be more flexible.

Hi Ivo,

Have you tried using the Categories feature in Outlook and then adding that Category to your query?

Hi Marian. Yes, in fact I am using categories and they carry over nicely to MM. However, tasks and flagged mails still need to be handled separately.

Yes, you're right, these are workarounds and I can see that it'll get cumbersome if you need to do one branch for each team member.
