Tabs within 1 File

"If I link some tasks within different maps, then move a file, the links become invalid. I have to re-link them, but on big maps, it takes up to 30 minutes.

So far, I'm able to 'solve' this problem by making two maps within one file. However, the maps can get pretty big, which makes the file hard to manage. I'm hoping there's a solution where there can be 'tabs' so I can stick the other map on another location within the file - 2 maps in 1 file."

"Yes, it would be helpful to can have whole projects (many maps) within one single file.
I additionally suggest:

1. Files should can be merged. The result would be a new project file which would contain all merged files in different tabs.

2. Tabs or tab groups should can be disconnected. I mean, dragging a tab or tab group from the current file to an other place would result in a new project file, containing the dragged elements. " [from mentalwaves]

"Transparent layer in multi-layer maps.

1. Layer should can be transparent using a decreasing, customizable degree of transparency for deeper layer.
2. To increase the space effect: the deeper the level the smaller the map. Customizable.
3. We should can use the Page Up/Down buttons to navigate the levels
4. We should can hide and display level. Sample: invisible levels (maps) would can contain further explanations and other parts of our work, we don't want to see permanently.
5. We should have shortcuts to jump to the first, last level and a navigator for the other in between.
6. The level order should can be changed.
7. It should be possible to link objects which are on two different levels. Visible inter-level-links.
8. We should be able to ""rotate"" the view, hence the perspective, to better recognize the inter-level-relations.
9. In an ideal case MM would use a true 3D space instead to just simulate many levels one behind an other.
10. Just imagine true 3D models (concept maps) we would can rotate and study from all perspectives...
