Task Pane Tabs & Shortcuts

How do I add a tab to the Task Pane on the right-hand side? I use a few topic styles a lot to highlight certain things (and make them filterable), but it's a bit of a pain to use the ribbon. Even better, is there a way to assign keystrokes to specific topic styles, flags, etc?

Customizing the Task Pane is not currently possible. However, you can get a list of all of the keyboard shortcuts by going to Extras>Keyboard Shortcuts. This will give you a full list of the shortcuts available to you in MindManager version 9 for Windows. I hope that this helps!

Brittney, I don't see how to edit keyboard shortcuts there... Am I missing something?

There is no facility for editing keyboard shortcuts.

You can create macros.

You could use a third party keystroke recorder to create shortcut keys.

Hi PebbleChamp.

I just wrote a Macro that should help you with this. Basically it will toggle the Topic Style Task Pane on/off during a MindManager session. So once its set, you will then be able to access the Topic Style Task Pane by the Task Pane tabs with a single click and keep it in view like any other Task Pane.

You can download the Macro zip file here just look under the Macros section of the download page.

If you need any advice on how to set up a Macro I have just uploaded a short guide using this Macro as an example on BiggerPlate. You can get to it here: BiggerPlate

I hope this helps.

Regards
Nigel

Thank you for your help! (Now I just have to bypass my organization ́s internet filter that automatically blocks zip files.) Hahaha. I'll just download it at home. :-)
