The current version hangs out the IPad lossing all the work done in hours!

The application hangs out lossing the work made in hours. This has been happening from some months ago but it is specially frequent after updating to IOS8 (V8.02). Today, for first time after two and half years, mi IPad 3 was hanged out runnig Mindjet and rebooted after more than 10 minutes. Would it be possible to know when or how the work in course is properly saved in a file? Thanks.

Interesting to hear, that many other Users have the same problem.
I am frustrated und changed a week ago to the Mindmeister APP an it works very good.

Same to me! I was  completely offline (in the train) with my iPad Air (IOS8). I was working on my map and then i closed the app using the home button. After i reopened the app 5min later, the changes i did in the last ~30min was lost!!

Hi everyone, 

We have not yet been able to reproduce these issues internally despite several attempts. 

Please help answer the following questions and provide any other relevant details that lead up to the errors: 

1. iPad version
2. Was the Map created prior to updating Mindjet for iPad and/or updating to iOS 8? 
3. Size of the Map? 
4.  Does uninstalling and reinstalling the App resolve the issue? 
5. If the issue is Map specific, please open a Support Ticket, attach a copy of the Map and put 'Attention Marian' in the Subject Line.

Same for me. Totally unpredictable. I use Iphone 5 and Ipad Mini Retina, both on IOs 8.02. It happens with three differents maps, once off-line, once with local files. I can therefore not use this tool for now which annoy me very much. Hope this will be solve quickly. BJ

I have the same issues on Ipad 3 IOS 8.02, It is very frustrating to lose so much work or to start a new map when you don't know whether your hard work will be stored or not.

I am experiencing the same problem and it is very random. Just spent 3 hours on a mapp, the application crashed and has lost everything except the first couple of topics. This is beyond frustration please fix , I have used the tool for years but am losing faith very quickly

    No - I use the German version of Mindjet Maps
3. Size of the Map?
    Small size, the map "stoppes saving" after I create about 3 branches with about 10 subbranches.

    No, I lost all formerly created maps.

    It's not map specific. I experience the issue with several different maps. I really cannot understand why it's not possible to reproduce it. It happens to me every time I create a map? I take pictures to assure "not to loss data" and then I have to toggle it in on my desktop computer again...........

Hello Mindjet. Still no comments, no updates, nothing? Is this the way how you treat your paying customers?? I'm really disappointed. I now consider changing to MindMeister...

Hi everyone, 

We are continuing to troubleshoot this issue at Mindjet and are still researching how to resolve it. As many of you have pointed out, the data loss and/or crash issues happen randomly with no consistent steps to reproduce.  Our developers are reviewing crash logs daily and we will publish an updated App as soon a possible.

 I will update this thread as progress is made.

I am having the same problem of not saving 75% of my map once it is closed. I have lost hours worth of work and extremely frustrating. I have an iPad 2, using English language, and have had this problem with new maps and old, before and after iOS 8. Please fix immediately or I wll have to go to another app.

do we have any pointers on this thus far? Could we help by trying several scenario from our device?

I use mind map every time I have conference and I have conference every week. I am now reverting back to use local save rather than dropbox.

It is quite obvious that it is the handler of Dropbox api causing issue. I have a hierarchy folder structure in my target Dropbox. Every time opening the folder for mind so, which is one level down from root directory, it clash. I end up saving the file on Dropbox root directory. And that seems to have resolve the issue. However, the losing of data still persist when I close the working file and app gracefully

Please advise the interval of auto save. Is that every 5,10,15 minute? Suggest to increase it to sec
Is there an issue with having folder structure defined in the target Dropbox folder?

I'm having the same issues, data loss, especially with the integration with Dropbox. 
I'm experiencing these issues on an Ipad mini, english language setting, ios 8. Only since I updated to iOS8. 

At one moment I even had the issue that I couldn't get to my maps anymore, because it was stuck in the dropbox menu and it gave a connection issue. This had nothing to do with my internet connection and after several attempts to reboot, and kill the app and restart, it just would be stuck. Finally I decided to delete the app and reinstall it, that fixed it. But the problem of data loss (which was there irregularly before) came up again. . It's really frustrating to work on the same map, time after time. 

Couldn't this be fixed by a, save now, function?

Sorry, but i do experience the same kind of problems as Daniel describes meaning , loss of data because the app doesn't save the worked Mindmap. I worked around by sending to my email account he map as work in progress from time to time (stonehenge solution). However, I need the fix ng of the problem urgently as i use it for taking notes from meetings and conferences. otherwise i have to switch to mindmeister.

Definitively the auto save function is not working properly. One hour of work lost without any apparent hanging in the application. Simply I have opened other map and reopening the previous with the previous saved version without the last changes. Please, Will Mindjet do something with that?

Darn it Mindjet, do something about this! It's been weeks! I've just been working on a map and again lost all my progress! I took screenshots so the work would be easily redone, but it's terribly frustrating. I'm going to another program, because this just doesn't work anymore.
