The error message you are seeing when using templates is often caused by
running MindManager on a non-English operating system.

To resolve it, you can try to modify the templates located at
'C:\users\username\Appdata\Local\mindjet\Mindmanager\15\Library\ENU\Template
s\Local templates' and remove the 'Tip' Floating Topic that contains
instructions on how to use the templates.

If there is a specific template you will like to use, please provide the
name and I will be glad to send you a modified version.

Please let me know if above solution work for you.

Thank you.  How can I change my operating system language if I want to keep the"tip" floating topic? The display language of my computer is already English. The location is US.

I have seen some cases that the System Language as English however the System Locale is set to a different language setting .
For then by just changing display Language in control panel to American English resolved the issue. So I am not sure if we have to change the language of operating system itself.

We have also seen instances where problem was the keyboard and language input .You can also check in those directions.

If System Locale and Keyboard Input is not an issue for you then unfortunately only workaround is to remove the 'Tip' Floating topic from those templates.
I will send a this as feature request to Product Management  to ship MindManager Templates without the Floating Topic Tool Tip to
prevent error 'Parameter is incorrect' on double-byte character systems.

yes, I checked as your guide and make sure that my display language is English(I have the other alternative of Chinese). At the same time I found my keyboard input was Chinese(Simplified, PRC).So I add English(United States). Before I open the software, I changED the input keyboard language into English(US). but the problem still exits. What should I do next? Two types of keyboard input is the problem? Do i have to uninstall Chinese keyboard input? But I have to use both Chinese and English in my job.

Hi Sungi,

The error message you are seeing when using templates is often caused by
running MindManager on a non-English operating system.

Problem was resolved by removing  the tip from templates as suggested in first solution above:
----------------------

To resolve it, you can try to modify the templates located at
'C:\users\username\Appdata\Local\mindjet\Mindmanager\15\Library\ENU\Template
s\Local templates' and remove the 'Tip' Floating Topic that contains
instructions on how to use the templates.

If there is a specific template you will like to use, please provide the
name and I will be glad to send you a modified version.

Please let me know if above solution work for you.
