Thought mind maps were stored on the cloud?

Have used Mindjet on my Motorola XOOM after using its original "Freemind" (?).
The mind maps I created unfortunately got lost when I had to factory reset the XOOM due to a malfunction.
After resetting the tablet I downloaded Mindjet and tried logging on thinking my mind maps would be available but have had no success retrieving them.
Can someone please confirm if I am right or wrong?

Hi Chris. Had you saved your maps in the Mindjet web application?

Seem to remember creating an account and maybe "assuming" (probably incorrectly) that my maps synced to the cloud server?
My question was based on a slim chance that this may of happened?

During my initial usage of course your company took over the original app which may have changed things?

Would say 99% they are lost but not a big issue if so.
Thanks

Hi Chris

I believe you are referring to Thinking Space, Mindjet for Androids predecessor.

It stored locally and had a Cloud option. The local folder may still be present after the factory reset. To see old Cloud store you will need to install Thinking Space and remember your login details. I did see a link sometime ago to get the old app.

You know what Andrew you are correct, thanks.
Not sure what local folder to look for, have tried searching my XOOM using ES File Explorer and get nothing, mind you am not surprised!
You said that it may still be there after a factory reset, wouldn't think that possible but must admit do not know enough about the inner workings of my XOOM even though I am an Ubuntu user on my home desktop. The xoom is not rooted btw.
Tried looking for Thinking Space with no luck.

Anyway Mindjet is installed and I have signed in using my email address. I created a new map and tried to search for the file name I created again with no luck.
Seem to think that there are some permission issues not allowing me to find what I need?
Thanks for your reply.

When I mount my HTC Wildfire as a disk drive, my PC shows the files are in this root folder: mindmaps. Thinking Space used the xmmap file type if it was set to use the Mindjet/MindManager file type.

It could also save them in Freemind and XMind file formats.

And you could change the name of the default folder. Perhaps you gave it a special name?
