time period between two 1 day dates

Hey there,

first, my english is bad -so sorry.

I got a question and didnt find an good answer for that.

So, I got a timeline chart and on this chart, there is one date in the very beginning, it will be every year different.
All other dates depends on this first one.

So, the first date will exactly on one day and two weeks after this first date, the secend starts and after that 1.5 weeks later the next one.

But, every single date is just on one day. So it would be wrong, if I select the 2 weeks option for the first date, so that the second one will start after that. I need a period between 2 dates, which is e.g. 2 weeks long.

If the new year starts I dont know, at which day the first date will happend.
So, at the point the date happens I would like to write the exact date in my timeline and all other dates should appear then in the timeline.

Hope that u got my problem and ofc the solution for it.

thanks a lot and sorry for the bad english!

Hello

If I have understood, I think you are looking for "lag time" in dependencies. This would allow you to define a dependency with a delay in it. Unfortunately, MindManager does not support lag time in dependencies at the moment. I think the only solution is create dummy tasks that insert delays into the project. Then you could hide the dummy tasks with a filter.

Task A (1 day) -> Finish to start dependency > Dummy task (2 weeks) -> F2S dependency -> Task B (1 day) -> F2S dependency -> Dummy task (1.5 weeks) -> Task C (1 day)

You can then select the dummy tasks and hide them with the Power Filter. It is not a very nice workaround, but it might be enough.
