Mindmapping since 1987 when I went on a Buzan course with TMI - I have been using Mindmanager since it was introduced (1992?). You need to be more visual now that computers can cope with it. Tony Buzan's iMindmap is overtaking you in following the principles of visualization as in his original book .

iMindmap is now a better product

Quite different products, aiming different user groups, I think. But do agree that MindManager seems too oldfashioned comparing to imindmap and other products.

Hi Ary - not time to sit on laurels! iMindmap is catching up fast as it has only been out a short time whereas Mindmanger is nearly 20 years so no wonder it is dominant in the market.

The principal is visualization so how ideas are visualized is important and iMindmap is better for presentations than Mindmanager is now. They have also added the ability to import Mindmanager maps so are a real threat to Mindmanagers position

Mindmanager's integration with MS Outlook is superb. The task integration with the entire MS Office is excellent.
I agree that iMindMap is definitely organic, but most of the views are hard to take seriously from a business perspective.
Hopefully, MindJet 11 will bring professional organic themes in the Sept release.
