Topic spacing for flowcharts - is there a good way to keep topics from colliding?

Our office is trying out the 2017 version because we are interested in creating some complex decision flowcharts.  I have noticed that the bigger your flowchart becomes, the more tedious it is to keep the new topics from colliding with topics from other branches of the chart.  I think this is strange, considering that creating subtopics in a regular MindMap will automatically bump things around so that topics aren't colliding or overlapping.  Instead, it seems like the only option when making a big flowchart is to keep dragging the topics and relationship lines around as your flowchart expands.

Am I overlooking some feature that would make this easier?  Thanks in advance for any tips or tricks!

Good question! However, I don't think there is something to do about this as automatically changing the layout of your flowchart would trigger a chain of events and might rearrange the flowchart in a way that's different then what you intended the flowchart to look like?

I think the difference is in the absolute positioning of the Topics in a flowchart, vs the relative (to the central topic and subtopics) positioning of the Topics in a mindmap?
