Would like to have a “track changes” feature so they can Accept or Deny changes made and see dynamically what has changed

Interesting.

What if we kept a history of all the changes anyone made to a map and allowed people (perhaps by role or permission?) to go and undo/reject those changes selectively over the life of the map?

Greg - I merged your idea with this one. Hopefully you too can comment further about what you would like to see in this feature.

This should be not just who was last in the document but also broken down by topics

"I love the ability to co-edit a map, but it gets kind of messy trying to see who added what or who's in a map but not doing anything. It would be nice to have a running log of who is doing what in a map, for example, ""User A added topic 'Gather ideas',"" and show the list in time order like a chat window."
