Can I use the resources that I have allocated to a task to run a function that allows me to sum up the maximum number of hours that the number of allocated resources can work within the given timeframe of the task? If the use of resources in functions is not supported (at least I can't find it so far), is there a workaround?
Andrew, thanks for the quick response. Do you refer to the built in function to calculate over-/underload for each resource? I have found this function and find it quite useful, but it does not solve my issue. I may not have used the right terminology in my initial question. I am trying to create a self-written formula and in this formula I would like e.g. sum up the number of resources allocated to a project. However, the entity 'resource' is not available for use in formulas. Again, sorry for any confusion due to potentially incorrect terminology. I don't have my work laptop at hand, which runs MindManager....
I have found that the counting function in a formula is limited to counting the target field IF the field is a number. Dates, text, and other map parts are not countable... in my experience. Maybe someone can create a macro that will count it... but macro's are still a bit beyond me.
Thanks lonemccord, that confirms my suspicion. Does anyone know if this may change with the 2016 version. I tried to find a consistent feature list, but I was not successful. Initial information given on the 2016 version website does not indicate it as enhancement as far as I can see.
