I'm trying to import a visio org chart into Mindjet. Visio has a nice wizard that allows getting the data from an Exchange server and I want to visualize it via Mindjet instead of Visio. Visio only allows export to XLS though. I googled for various ways to get the data in but wasn't able to find anything. Suggestions are welcome :)

It's a very long time since I last played with Visio so I can't help you directly with that. However it seems that you want to access your organisation's staffing structure and visualise it in Mindjet, using Visio as an intermediary to extract data from your database.

My first question is do you really need to transfer the data this way? If you can export your data as an Access table you can import that directly into Mindjet though there are some limitations. alternatively if you can export your data as a spreadsheet you can either try using a MindManager add-in such as Excel2Map http://www.activityowner.com/2012/11/... or the method I described in this forum a little while ago using Excel's Pivotable feature: https://community.mindjet.com/mindjet...

However if you do need to use Visio I understand that it can generate text reports which you could export to Word and then in turn import into MindManager, though I have no idea how well this works: http://windowssecrets.com/forums/show...
