What exactly does each type of licence give you?

Hello - this should be such a basic thing on the website but I'm pulling my hair out trying to understand the different subscription models and products.

I want to have a licence that gives me full access to everything and I want my team members to be assigned tasks and use the basic task list/task management tools for free. Today I splashed out and purchased the mindmanager licence and then found that I couldn't even use the full features, such as create a project in the Projects section of the mindjet.

It would seem that I want to have something called Project Director but that's not even an option!!

Does anybody know of a comprehensive feature list that comes with the different types of licence? Something like this but for each type - http://download.mindjet.com/www/pdf/M... .

Hi Jocelyn

Project Director was withdrawn from new sales a year ago. Its still running for legacy customers (I've been online with it this morning. Its running on the web and iOS). My recollection from a year ago is that Mindjet were going to update it and re-release. Perhaps someone from Mindjet will tell us the current situation.

There is a lot you can do with the MindManager 15 license via shared maps on shared drives or via Outlook.

I am just writing for a client/my blog as a summary of task management tools within and added in to MindManager.  I'll add a link when published.

Limited (with respect to teams) functionality is available if you add a MindManager Plus account to MindManager

Its for personal rather than team use.

Project Director still gets a mention on the web site

As is Mindjet for Business

MindManager Enterprise is 10 or more users with SharePoint but I don't think it includes Project Director functionality

I think if you are using the Mac version 10, as per the email header I got, you will find the functionality very limited compared to the Windows version. Some of us have been requesting for over 2 years for it to catch up with MM14, and now MM15, but nobody seems to be listening.

This is certainly confusing, but thank you for the responses. The Mac header was simply because one of my team members will be using a Mac.

I finally got hold of someone at sales who agreed with me that the website is as dire as any I've ever seen, and she suggested that I wanted a 1 year MindManager Business licence, which is quite a bit cheaper and provides the full sharing tools. I am still not entirely sure how it's all going to work, I must say.
