Where are the lost spaces? - Improve HTML export from MindManager

Everytime I do a HTML export MindManager deletes spaces between words at random.
SInce we use MindManager to generate our websites, this is a pain in the ass.

Please solve the problem asap. And while you are at it, Why not allow for html code in the text notes, you know how to do this. This solves the post-html-generation editing activites.

Thank you for your feedback Ary. I am going to make this topic an idea so that our product team take this into consideration for future releases.

I would just like to emphasis the pain this causes long term users of the web export. Some of us have web sites we have been maintaining with MindManager for over a decade.

I am astounded to read here from Ary that there is no facility to lodge 'html snippets' into text notes - am I reading that correctly?

I have just spent two hours searching around the web for advice on how to do that 'knowing' (though it seems not) that it could be done.

I am sure it could be done in very old versions of MM.

It could David but it was decade ago.

My solution of late has been to put a tag in the text eg #vid2#. Then use a search and replace post export to replace the tag with the eg embed code. I use Useful File Utilities to this. You can create a "batch file" and run it in automatic after the export. You can also use it to correct other glitches in the export but not missing spaces.

Thanks for the reminder about the spaces because I am about to have a coaching session with a client to update their MindManager 7 web export (which worked re removing spaces but tended to add a few extra ones) to MindManager 2012. I wonder if the latest version has fixed this problem?

OH... that is fantastic.

I used my PhpED software to make the change (http://www.nusphere.com) but will look at File Utilities a bit later, but I am so pleased with this as a fix.

My seed text was right there between "span" tags - a very definite result!

I have just tested with MindManager 10.1.249, using a map created in MindManager 7 with both a 2012 web export and a customised export which started in MindManager 7 and there were no missing spaces visible to my "trained" eye. :)

I also tested this and I appears to be solved.

Ofcourse we will check with all our websites, but this brings us back to the level where we were before
That is good, athough we have our requests for HTML code inserts.
But who knows, This may be solved as well.

Keep you informed
