Why does Connect not offer a bulk export function for backups?

The ability to download all maps in bulk as a backup or archive is the oldest feature request of them all. It goes back to the earliest days of Catalyst.

And still the only way to get maps out of Connect is to download them one at a time.

This is not a technical hurdle, so there is a business reason for it.

Thank you for your feedback. Our product team is constantly looking for suggestions on how to make our product better. I am going to make your question an idea so that the product team can keep track of this and so that people can vote on the topic.

I believe you do not do this so you can control the infomationm, or the load to have your customers download backups would be too much.

I realize that you feel you have a highly reliable system with backup. However, I can not afford to lose any of my key maps and documents.

I do not use connect for anything important. So the others in our company also use dropbox and we do not modify any maps at the same time.

Inconvenient? Yes. Safe. Yes.

So we get along with Dropbox.

A batch sync or even a zipped backup download would be great.

Additionally i think there is lots of work to do for connect and mindjet files. especially if i think about offline functionality and automatic sync of files after offline modification to other devices. Drag&Drop of files into mindjet files.
better integration into mindjet tasks... offline functionality of mindjet tasks... (i can't create a task if i'm offline.. *GRML* i can't modify a task in a map if offline... )

currently a pain in the ass for a real road warrior.
