I bought the new 2017 product based on zapier integration. I actually wanted to use it for the trello sync. However, I am finding it more than a little frustrating and confusing to get configured.

It would be awesome if I could simply extend it myself, but some of the functionality is supported by the Mindjet cloud I guess.

My problem is I want to create cards in trello from map nodes and have child node titles as checklist items for the cards. In other words if I have 5 nodes to send as cards I want to have the children of those cards create check list items. I select the 5 nodes and then send them to zapier. I cannot do this apparently. Its probably a bug or maybe just a limited implementation of the integration. I'm only able to get a checklist with all of the text of children and that's unpredictable and mostly wrong.

Honestly, there needs to be better documentation on this configuration since its one used in the marketing documents. I had to stumble through it.

I'm more than willing to write my own zap integration is mindjet wants to share. If not can someone tell me how to work around the bugs or when I can expect some fixes?

Suggestion - talk with Mindjet technical support.  My experience is that you need a valid Mindjet Cloud account to make the Zapier feature functional.  They can help with that problem.

If you didn't get this working, I've been experimenting with MM & Trello integration via Zapier - I believe you'd trigger the child nodes and use their Parent information to create the cards to which you'd add the other child info as checklists.
